APSS 2025 Wrap-Up: Yet Another Record-Breaking Year!

The Australian Poultry Science Symposium (APSS) 2025 has once again shattered records, cementing its place as the premier gathering for poultry industry professionals and researchers in the Asia-Pacific Region. With an outstanding 329 attendees from 24 different countries, this year’s event surpassed last year’s record (321), proving that APSS continues to grow in impact and global reach.

APSS 2025 again delivered an exceptional lineup of cutting-edge research, invited presentations, and valuable networking opportunities. From emerging trends in poultry nutrition and health to advancements in sustainability and precision farming, the conference provided a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and industry collaboration.

The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the high-quality presentations and the invaluable opportunity to connect with industry leaders from around the world. The energy and enthusiasm at APSS 2025 were truly inspiring, reflecting the shared commitment to innovation and progress in poultry science.

A Successful Return to the University of Sydney Campus

One of the most exciting aspects of APSS 2025 was our return to the University of Sydney campus after several years at Sheraton on the Park (since 2017). This move reinvigorated our strong relationship with the University, allowing us to reconnect with its academic community and take full advantage of the purpose-built lecturing facilities at the Business School. The additional space provided a much-improved experience for our attendees, with greater comfort, better networking opportunities, and a truly collaborative environment that fostered innovation and discussion.

Record-Breaking Research Submissions

APSS 2025 also set a new milestone in research contributions, with over 100 paper submissions, breaking last year’s record. In addition, we were privileged to feature 11 invited papers from leading experts in the field, covering a diverse range of topics including nutrition, health management, genetics, and sustainability. These papers sparked in-depth discussions and provided attendees with cutting-edge insights into the future of poultry science. The growing number of high-quality research submissions is a testament to the conference’s increasing influence and its role in shaping advancements in the poultry industry.
