The Australian Poultry Science Symposium (APSS) 2026 has once again set a new benchmark, marking the third consecutive year of record-breaking success. With an outstanding 366 delegates from 26 countries, this year’s symposium surpassed all previous attendance records, reinforcing APSS as the premier poultry science event in the Asia-Pacific region.

Building on the momentum of recent years, APSS 2026 delivered another exceptional program of cutting-edge research, invited presentations, and meaningful networking opportunities. Delegates engaged with the latest developments across poultry nutrition, health, genetics, sustainability, and production systems, highlighting the continued innovation driving the global poultry industry.
Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, with many noting the high calibre of presentations and the invaluable opportunity to connect with industry leaders, researchers, and professionals from around the world. The enthusiasm and engagement seen throughout the symposium reflect the strength and growth of the APSS community.
Back on Sydney Harbour
A standout social highlight of APSS 2026 was the return of the much-loved Starship Sydney Harbour cruise, marking the first time delegates have been back on board since 2018. A record 225 delegates attended the evening, taking in spectacular views of Sydney Harbour while reconnecting with colleagues and building new professional relationships in a relaxed setting. As the night went on, the energy lifted even further, with many delegates dancing their way back into dock—rounding out a memorable evening that perfectly captured the vibrant and collegial spirit of APSS.
Continued Growth and Industry Support
A key highlight of APSS 2026 was the record level of sponsorship support. The symposium continues to benefit from strong and growing engagement from industry partners, whose contributions are essential to the success and ongoing development of the event.
We extend our sincere thanks to all sponsors for their generous support and long-standing commitment to APSS. Their investment ensures that the symposium remains a leading platform for scientific exchange, collaboration, and innovation within the poultry sector.

We would also like to acknowledge our milestone award recipients for 2026:
